The RFID badge tag is designed for personnel monitoring and other asset tracking applications such as vehicle yard management and IT asset tracking. It provides visibility to the asset and the person responsible for its movement and handing, affording new levels of control, security and accountability.

GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) is offering its semi-passive UHF RFID badge tag operating in the frequency range of 902 to 928MHz for North America and 865 to 868MHz for Europe and India. The RFID badge tag is designed for personnel monitoring and other asset tracking applications such as vehicle yard management and IT asset tracking. It provides visibility to the asset and the person responsible for its movement and handing, affording new levels of control, security and accountability.

The rugged semi-passive RFID badge tag, model 136008, incorporates a clip-on slot for convenient tagging to clothing and may be worn on a lanyard. It offers high read/write accuracy, long range operation and on-tag memory to store personnel information, authentication keys, history and other data directly on the tag. Its read and write range is up to 50m in open space. This data rate is 8kb/sec for forward link and 8 or 32kb/sec for reverse link. With an IP55 protection rating, this UHF RFID tag can work well even in harsh environments.
